Professional Classical Music Recitals at the Acton Hill Church

Programme

A piano recital inspired in gorgeous landscapes and joyous scenes: from Leoš Janácek’s In the mists and The Black Gorge by Catalan composer Joan Massià, to the flamenco infused El Puerto (Cádiz) by Isaac Albeniz.
All combined with Mozart’s Piano Sonata in F Major KV332, the concert will culminate with the virtuoso dreamlike masterpiece L’Isle joyeuse by Claude Debussy.

Originally from Barcelona, Neus has been based in London since 2015, where she completed a Masters Degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She has received advice from many inspiring musicians such as Douglas Finch, Derek Aviss, Eugene Asti, Malcolm Martineau, Pascal Rogé and Rivka Golani, to name just a few.

Recent partnerships include a project for Borough New Music - presenting music by KC Cheng, Anthony Green, Ian Wilson and Douglas Finch-, a collaboration with EOS ensemble, with music by Arutunian and Ustvolskaya, a song recital commemorating the Armistice Day, with mezzo-soprano Anna Prowse performing music by English composers related to WW1 and two collaborations with Bromley Symphony Orchestra.

Neus has also been collaborating regularly with tenor Lars Fischer since 2015, and has extensive experience with vocal repertoire. Together with soprano Aimée Presswood, they received the First Prize in the English Song Competition 2017 the Elisabeth Schumann Lieder Competition 2017, both at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.
Next projects include solo recitals in London and Barcelona as well as the recording of Neus’ debut album.

Corner of Woodland Avenue, High Street, Acton, Greater London, W3 9BU
​We are on the corner of the Uxbridge Road and Gunnersbury Lane, W3, opposite Acton police station. Ten minutes walk form Acton Town tube station – District (Ealing Broadway) and Piccadilly lines. Front main entrance is on Gunnersbury Lane, turn right and walk down to the T-junction, turn right and the church is a twenty yards on your right.

Parking in Morrisons’ car park diagonally opposite (up to 1 hour before 4pm and unlimited thereafter). Street parking on Steyne Road (opposite), limited parking in Woodlands Avenue down the side of the church. Beware of the dropped curb at the end as parking tickets are issued on Sundays!
